Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements to use the Service. By accessing Product Team Guru, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2.2 Team Structure & Access

Teams using Product Team Guru operate under a flat collaborative structure. All invited members have the same permissions to read, edit, and contribute to team projects. There are no role-based hierarchies or permission levels at this time. Access is granted on an invite-only basis at the team level.

2.3 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You shall not:

• Engage in unauthorized access, hacking, or attempts to breach security measures
• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Engage in spamming or flooding of APIs or service endpoints
• Use the Service for illegal purposes or in violation of third-party rights
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract trade secrets

3.1 Fair Use Standards

• API Rate Limits: Automated tools, bots, and scripts must respect published rate limits. Excessive requests will result in temporary throttling or suspension.
• Resource Consumption: Uploading or processing unusually large datasets, generating thousands of AI suggestions at once, or repeatedly requesting computationally expensive operations may be restricted.
• Storage & Bandwidth: While Pro tiers include generous allocations, deliberate attempts to exhaust storage or bandwidth will trigger suspension.

3.2 Enforcement

We reserve the right to suspend immediate access without prior notice if we detect:

• Systematic API abuse or violation of published rate limits
• Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks or similar malicious behavior
• Unauthorized data harvesting or scraping

Temporary suspensions are typically lifted within 24–48 hours. For repeated violations, permanent account termination may apply. Appeals can be submitted to [email protected].

4.1 Your Data

You retain 100% ownership of all data, feedback, insights, problems, and solutions that you or your team members create, upload, or input into Product Team Guru. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your content.

4.2 Grant of License

By uploading content to PTG, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Store, process, and display your content as necessary to operate the Service
• Generate analytics and aggregate insights (subject to privacy safeguards in Section 5)
• Use anonymized or aggregated data for service improvement, with no personal identification

5.1 Data Collection

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the Service:

• Account Information: Email, name, role (when creating a team account)
• Project Data: Feedback, insights, problems, solutions, and related team contributions
• Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device type, access logs for security and troubleshooting

5.2 Data Processing & AI Integration

PTG integrates third-party AI services to generate solution recommendations. Privacy Safeguard: We send only project context to AI providers. Zero personally identifiable information (PII) such as email addresses, real names, or personal identifiers is shared with AI services.

AI-generated content is processed within your secure project workspace and is not used to train external models without your explicit consent.

5.3 Cookie Policy & Why There Is No Cookie Banner

5.4 Data Storage & Security

Security measures include:

• HTTPS encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+)
• Encryption at rest for sensitive data
• Cloudflare CDN and DDoS protection
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Access controls and audit logs for administrative personnel

5.5 Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active. Upon request, you may:

• Export your data in standard formats
• Request permanent deletion of your account and associated data

Data deletion requests should be submitted to [email protected]. Deletions are processed within 30 days. Residual copies in backups may persist for up to 90 days as part of standard data protection procedures.

5.6 GDPR & Data Subject Rights

If you are located in the European Union, you have the following GDPR rights:

• Right of Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Right of Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right of Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
• Right of Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Right to Object: Opt out of certain processing activities

6.2 AI-Generated Content Accuracy

AI-generated solutions, recommendations, and insights:

• May contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or misleading information
• Should always be reviewed and validated by your team before implementation
• Are not guaranteed to be optimal, feasible, or aligned with your business context
• Must be supplemented with human judgment, domain expertise, and market research

You are solely responsible for verifying AI-generated content and making informed business decisions. Product Team Guru is not liable for losses, damages, or consequences resulting from your reliance on AI recommendations.

6.3 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• PTG and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service
• This includes lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or reputational harm
• Total liability cap: Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages

6.4 Service "As Is"

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.

7.1 Best Effort Standard

Product Team Guru operates on a best-effort basis. We aim for 99% uptime, but we make no legal guarantee or Service Level Agreement binding us to this target.

7.2 Planned Maintenance

We may perform maintenance, updates, or security patches with notice when feasible. During these periods, the Service may be temporarily unavailable without liability to us.

7.3 No Liability for Downtime

We are not liable for service interruptions, data loss during outages, or lost business opportunities due to unavailability, except as explicitly required by applicable law.

8.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by requesting deletion via your account settings or by contacting [email protected]. Upon termination, your data will be governed by Section 5.5 (Data Retention & Deletion).

8.2 Termination by PTG

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in abusive or illegal behavior
• Violate the Fair Use Policy (Section 3)
• Fail to pay invoices (for paid tiers)

We will provide written notice (via email) of suspension or termination, except in cases of security threats or legal requirements for immediate action.
